You know I really try to see the good in most all living things. But sometimes there is no good in some things.
I took this picture of an unknown plant surrounding this old birdhouse. I didn't know what it was but thought it looked like it would produce some pretty white blooms.

WOW, Eve. I've never seen Autumn Clematis stripped clean like that by any bug. AC is native and normally drapes like holiday garland over lake and fence, rambles down banks and up lattace without so much as a "please and thank you," pretty much taking over wherever it's planted. You may have to put our favorite Bugmeister on the case - Daniel. This is a new one on me, dearie.
Yes that is a horrible looking beast Evie. Great shame that would have looked really nice in full bloom.
Thats an ugly looking bug, and he left a terrible mess. I even like the first photo, so I am sure I would have loved the photo when in full bloom.

That sucks Eve. Did you blast it with some spray?
Jeeze. Eve, those are some hungry bugs down there..I don't think I've ever seen a plant so stripped of its vegetation as this one..in such a short time...!!
Good grief!
It looks so pretty in that first birdhouse shot...what a shame that the bugs ate it. Hope you find a way to stop them in the future.
AW! Thats awful Evie! You really do have to wonder what some creatures are for dont' you! Mosquitos for one spring to mind and tick and this beastly bug is another!
Geez, I have never seen anything like it! The bugs have been awful this season...
sorry Eve that they ruined your blooming photo. It would have been very with the flowers, the first photo is very nice!
Oh man Eve it was supposed to read, "would have been very PRETTY with the flowers". Ugh too early in the morning when I did this. We spent all day at our State Fair. I am not fully recovered :)
It's OK RR!!! I don't want to count the times I've messed up my comments/post/and so forth! Get those fingers going now!!
