Yesterday, Morgan and I went to Guntersville during the heat of the day to look around and to go to the local Farmer's Market to get a veggi or two. It was pretty much over when we got there, but we managed to buy a couple zucchinis for dinner.
But the real attraction is the view! As we walked to the water's edge an ominous crowd began to form. It got closer and closer...with the leader of the pack boldly introducing himself with an evil blue eye.
("How can a blue eye be evil?" you ask...It can't!) He was just letting us know that he was in charge of all the Canada Geese in the lake.
And so they came! All the youngins and their parents, looking for handouts, but we had none. And in the crowd Morgan found her "Buddy". That's him behind his son, just keeping an eye on Morgan's intent. They spent a few minutes discussing the concept of sharing.Morgan has now become...
The Goose Whisperer!

Goose Whisperer- Very cute
Cool! I know that had to be exciting for Morgan. Geese can be aggressive so I am glad that these seemed nicer!
What a nice crowd to get stuck in as long as they mind their goose manners! Mr. Blue Eye is a fine looking goose.
And what a GREAT day for you and Morgan-SSwweeet!
I am back, fudge!! I forgot, your header-priceless.
Makes me smile :)
Good for Morgan!
Morgan is definitely the goose whisperer! So cute!
Morgan should've invited her new buddy back for dinner. Zucchini surprise! (-:
I was really nervous at first with all thoes silly geese just heading right for us! That is unheard of up north!! But they were all very polite and just asked for something to eat and when we told them sorry they went on their way, except for Buddy...he really liked Morgan and I think he may have brought the whole family home for zucchini...if we'd invited him!
He hee . . . do you think that goose can suck from a straw? Now THAT would be a sight to see!
Glad you and Morgan have finally started making friends ; )

oh oh..those guineas are going to get jealous!! These guys can be nasty..I've seen dummy people who feed them and then when all the bread is gone don't understand why the geese keep chasing them..I even seen people shake the bag in its up-side-down position to show them there was no food left in the bag...which didn't change the minds of the on coming geese..lol.
It's good Morgan came to an understanding with them :)
Yes, quite so, how can a blue eye be evil. ????
I LOVE brushes with nature like this. Funny that the white goose has adopted a herd of Canada Geese. Morgan is a brave soul though. My winged countrymen can bite pretty hard...
The Goose Whisperer - amazing! Geese can be intimidating, but Morgan is obviously completely at ease, sharing her drink and bonding with the gaggle!
Beautiful view! I think Morgan can "whisper" up any animal :-) Love the head goose!
