Yesterday I found this alien substance in my driveway. Well I knew what it was but...who left it there was the big question!! The first thing that popped in my head was "BEAR"!
The second thing that pooped...oh I mean popped in my head was "Daniel from 'Nature at Close Range' will know!" So I sent him a note and he said "send pictures" and before long we discovered it was delivered via raccoon.

I went back to mowing the lawn without fear of being eaten by a bear.

WOW! I didn't know raccoon poop was so BIG! Glad it wasn't a bear.
I see a fair bit of that...usually deposited in my open bird feeders on the deck...yuck.
Amazingly, amusingly familiar! Do not look any different there in your country neck of the woods than here in our neck of the woods.

Whatever I am glad the bear isn't going to get you.
We do have raccoons here, but I had never seen their poop. So now I know. :-) We also have the occasional black bear passing through, but I have never seen one. My next door neighbor seems to think her yard has been recently visited by a bear. Which means it was probably in my yard also.
Looks like a healthy one, too. ;o)
