Yesterday Morgan and I went to take pictures of a view we found on Sunday while we all took the time to jump on the motorcycles for a fun ride.
This shot was unexpected as we took a turn before heading down the mountain. There is a row of houses with this incredible view. Sorry about he blown out shots, it was a very sunny day. I didn't want to get out of the car! I know it would be perfectly fine but it was really at an incline and taking my foot off the brake was not an option for someone with a fear of heights!
Lake Guntersville facing south. Now we are in Guntersville facing north. I will have to check the map, that may be my mountain. Morgan snuck as close to these two male mallards as she could without disturbing them.It was a beautiful day and so very close to home.

That last shot of Morgan with those ducks was especially sweet! Looks like you are getting to know your neighborhood very well!
Lovely area you live in Eve, the last one of Morgan's silhouette next to those of the ducks is wonderful and all your photos were fun to look at.
I LOVE Guntersville! I think it's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen. I miss Alabama. Love your pictures and I'm glad you're enjoying exploring the area.
You are living in a gorgeous part of Alabama, Eve. You are also near the Little River Canyon which is home to the deepest gorge this side of the Mississippi River. If you were afraid to get out of the car or take your foot off the brake on this trip- wait till you see the "drops" and inclines of Little River Canyon. DeSoto State Park is near the canyon and is a very beautiful park. Guntersville State Park is also well maintained if you haven't visited it yet. The duck photo is very nice!
This is a part of the world I know very little about. I'm enjoying learning about it and seeing all the beauty that now surrounds you.
I am so happy you love your new surroundings. I can't wait to come for a visit. Loved the photo of Margan and the ducks.
Love the shot with Morgan and the Mallards Evie, brilliant.
Hi Evie, ditto to Julie's comment, can't wait to visit, it looks like a really beautiful area. Was Morgan trying to entice that pair of Mallards to make their home on a mountain top??? (-: They'd make a great start to the Sweatman managerie! (-:
Oh what vistas and country sides to explore..how nice!! very nice picture of Morgan and those ducks!! Glad to see you are getting out on that bike!
Thanks everyone! I really like the duck photo too.
Barb and Jenny...just let me know when you're coming!!
Daniel, my husband was just talking to me about going to Little River Canyon. He grew up in that area and knows it well. And yes I was asking him if there was a railing on the edge!!! Can't wait to go!
Wait for meeeeee !!!!!
Wonderful views! What a terrific place to live.
