Saturday evening Morgan begged me to go for a walk with her. I guess we were due for one so off we went. Our road is 3 miles long and we are in the smack dab middle. We headed west and went to the end turned around and headed back. Here are parts of the first half of our journey.
Saying so long.
As we looked up the road we saw the sweet guineas way up on the hill. They were gone when we got there. 
The hay is already baled here...it wouldn't be until late July or August up north.
Such beautiful fields here, 
and lovely lilies.
My road has everything from McMansions to this! This is my favorite! It's an abandoned house that I would love to have. Wouldn't it be fun to turn this into a sweet little cottage for guests! I took a few more pictures on the way back you will see tomorrow.

Morgan saw this part of the fence the day we moved to this road...she said it's the fence that says "HI"! 
The sun was trying to peek out behind the clouds but I couldn't resit this gate photo along the way,
and this old barn at the end of the road beckoned for a picture with the beautiful Mimosa trees at it's side.
The way back tomorrow, till then have a great day!

what a beautiful walk thanks for taking us along. I have a walk photographed, yet to publish it though. So cute to notice the fence says hi and that little house has such character, I'm sure it has many stories to tell & would love to see it fixed up so it can have even more happy memories to share.
Good to see the lay of the land where you're living. Is it hot yet? We've had such a cool spring, we wouldn't mind a bit of hot weather.
A lovely walk and so many pretty photos. I always look at these little houses and wonder about the history it could tell.

I like the "Hi" fence :-) Very clever of Morgan. It looks like a wonderful walk. I'm starting to see the Mimosas blooming here and lilies are everywhere. Got to get some photos soon.

I love that your daughter likes to go for walks. What a beautifully peaceful place you have there. I'm with you, that abandoned cabin would be a perfect guest house. It already has a lovely flowering bush just waiting to be admired.
Very nice walk, beautiful country. I think the "HI" fence is cool too! I would love to have that old tub at the abandoned house. And round bales in fields make my heart happy! Summer...*sigh* I love it. Looking for part two, the way to home :)
Great walk Evie. It's nice to see some more of your local countryside. It looks quite English with the green fields and verges. That does seem early for hay baling. Wont winter feel SO different from what you're used to!!!? I too love the Hi fence, good spot Morgan. What with the house and the barn is there alot of abandoned property around there?

Those are some beautiful Hydrangeas by that abandoned house. I love to explore old places like that.

Lovely scenery along your walk! I like how your daughter spotted the word "Hi" made by the fence posts. My son likes looking for the shapes of letters in nature as well.
Such a fun walk..with sooo many different things to see. Looks like you will be exploring for quite some time..good Morgan urges you to get out and about!! Love the little cottage and am so jealous of those blue hydrangeas..I have pounded every rusty nail there is into our soil (exaggeration here) trying to bring up its acidity level..but still out pops that ole pink flower..
I need to run down and get some of your soil!! ;-)
