Last week my good friend Jenny from "Wren's Nature Notebook" http://wrensnaturenotebook.blogspot.com/ posted a beautiful fern in her garden. I told her that I had picked up a Japanese Painted Fern at my local flower stand. She asked me to post it "please" as we all know Jenny is very polite!!Sorry it took so long Jenny Wren!

They look like they belong in your garden together. Gorgeous.
Never seen anything like that moth. Always lots of new species when you move to another climate or continent. Beautiful.
Eve,
I gasped when I saw the Luna moth! We very seldom see them around where I live, maybe because there aren't more woods, I don't know. It's a beauty!
Love ferns and I have them in my garden. Wonderful perennial!
Hope you're staying cool down there and settling in well!

That Luna Moth is gorgeous! What a great photo you captured of him! Love those "eyes" on its wings! He looks big!
The one and only time I have seen a Luna Moth was when I was a girl out on the island. Eve, I am going to have to replace the fern you gave me, did not make it through the winter. So sad.
Oh. My. Gosh! I LOVE luna moths, although I've only ever seen them in photographs. You got a great shot of it. I would have considered its visitation a good omen of something to come. But then, I do that with most everything. :o)
Very nice shot of the Luna Moth. The colors are brilliant. We got a photo of a Luna Moth last week- but it had been crashing around onto the window quite a bit at night- so it had lost some of its color- it was still pretty, though. :)
Wow, I'm not sure I've ever even seen a picture of a luna moth. How fortunate are you? Just like Carolynn says...it must be a sign of wonderful things to come. :-)
Wow that Moth Evie, what an amazing creature that is.
Eve,
Now that is a moth worth photographing...Look at that black on the leading edges of his wings!! He looks like he is quite large..pretty cool!
Amazing! Your new digs are already bringing great things! I would LOVE to see a Luna!
Well, since I have a polite reputation to uphold, I want to thank you very very much Evie for posting your beautiful delicate painted fern. Don't know if I've seen one like that over here, I'll have to keep a look out. That moth is something else!!!!! I would LOVE to see one of those eye to eye! (-:
The Luna Moths are so awesome. It is always exciting to see one. Nice capture.

Wow, I've never seen one, only pictures. This is wonderful.
Fantastic! Luna moths are so incredible and so hard to ever get a chance to see.
I am a big fan of ferns, and Japanese painted fern is one of my favorites. Sadly it was also one of the deer's favorites in my old garden! I enjoyed it while I could.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos.
Oh, you were sooooooo lucky to have a Luna Moth Experience. They are stunning, aren't they? I see you're enjoying discovering all about your new home. Lovely!
