Visitors

On the last day that I was recording the demise of Mr. Snowman I noticed (instead of something yellow in the road) something brown in the driveway. It turned out to be a turkey...which turned out to be the theme of the almost two weeks my computer was in the shop. She managed to make it around to the back yard...
Where the guineas are hold up not daring to step one foot out in the snow... ...until an intruder shows up. "We can do this guys come on lets go!!" This turkey is looking for a way out just in case things heat up."Well if that little chickadee is welcome then it must be OK for me." "Come on" Buddy says "lets get her!" "you bunch of chickens!" (no offence Danni!) What does she see...backup! "Those guineas don't look so tough." "and look, I've got some pretty feathers too!"Well they didn't stay too long... and I didn't even get one feather!

That's hilarious. Your guineas are too funny. They look like the Keystone Cops there. I'm glad no one got hurt though.

Great post Evie, I sense a Guinea confrontation on the way..... look forward to the next post. One of those poor turkeys looked pretty lean to me. I guess it's hard going up there in winter for wildlife!

Having read the comment to Roy, I wonder what the rest of the story is?? I'll tune in tomorrow :-) By the way...I finally got Mike to drill a hole in the gourd and hung it!

Eve - those guineas looked like they were marching out of their house like little soldiers! Hilarious! And I love your new turkey friends - maybe we'll get to see a rumble!!

Wild turkeys are kinda ugly I think. But I bet their mother thinks they are beautiful.

Love the idea of a "rumble"..which one will play Maria??
Good capture..and those feathers are quite appealing aren't they!! I'm sure if your guineas sharks take on the turkey jets you will get several feathers!!

I was waiting to hear if there was going to be a guinnea- turkey RUMBLE!!

That was a fun visitor. I was here earlier today looking for the knock knock. It needs to be right on the sidebar for this not so techie Grammy. (o: I thought I put it in my favorites, but I couldn't find it. She sits on my lap and hogs the mouse arm, so nothing is easy.

Those big birds can actually FLY? Wow. I'm impressed. Love the shot of the one showing off his pretty feathers. They totally are CHICKEN! But then, your guinea pals are pretty tough birds. :-)

I almost decided I was mistaken and it was turkey feathers, then you said you didn't even get one feather.
