Around the Yard

It seems like time is flying and I haven't been very good at keeping up with my blog or my blog buddies. I miss visiting and hope to catch up with you all soon.
I've been enjoying the beautiful Alabama weather and working on projects in the yard.
This crazy garden has got me scratching my head. I'm not quite sure what to do with it but just so you know, this is the better side!
We moved the picnic table. It really  needs a cleaning and maybe paint or something.
A new Elephant Ear. Lots of water is needed to keep them happy.
 Flower pot 2011.
 Through the shadows.
You know I really could have moved the stick!
Got the old Coal Hod planted up!
The Oakleaf is such a beauty!
Ok you'll have to let me know what you think about this. This is Morgan's little girl table and chairs that she has outgrown. We thought about selling it, until I remembered I've been thinking about having some kind of shelving outside the back door. Now maybe just a little rustic looking paint and a few more items? Best part, FREE!
Hope you all had a wonderful and thankful Memorial Day.

Your garden is like a park. Very pretty! I love the different areas with chairs and seating. It all looks very inviting.
I LOVE the child's table and chairs just the way they are. It's a great idea. Just add some plants and maybe some books. The pink and white just says "Summer is here."

As always, I love the photos. I think the table and chairs is a neat idea for shelving.

Enjoy the lovely weather. Everything looks so pretty! I like the little table and chairs and think it's a great idea how you have them set up. Plus they have special memories attached, so that makes it even better.

Through the Shadows has wonderful dof and so does Flower Pot 2011.

On the down side, you've reminded me that the picnic table I built last month needs to be sanded and sealed.

Free is always good! It must be my mom's thrifty Yankee influence but I always try to find a second or third use for everything.

I think the table and chairs with the mirror above ( or is that a really charming window?) look great, and I like the color they already are! So beautiful against the green of your house. Your yard is wonderful - mine has already begun to wilt in the high heat. I shudder to think what it will look like by August!

Beautiful photos! I love the table and chairs.. I haven't been keeping up with my blog either. It seems that there is so much I want to do outside (and then there's my paying job I have to do also)! Maybe we'll get caught up before fall :)

Good Evening Evis! CH and I have those very pretty adirondack chairs too, in that lovely color I might add, under the Oaks! Every little ding dang thing looks beautiful on the Sunny Side Up Mountain location. Your pic-a-nic table looks good, the squirrels used ours to sharpen their little toothies. It's shot and going to be used for scrap. Morgan's little table and chairs works very well in its new shelving kinda thing-very cute and functional. That top picture with the adirondacks looks like HOME Evis! I miss you Evis Bo Weevis...........it's just loverly there!!!!

Hi Eve,

I love Morgan's table and chairs. Do not part with them....they are treasures. Perhaps you could give them the 'french look' that is very in vogue here at the moment.
I stand plants on my childrens old chairs and now my grandchildren play with them.

Ha!! That did make me smile.....the frog and stone are wonderful....I would have left the stick for sure, I do it all too often.

Your gardens are very pretty...

Do have a safe trip and tku so much for your kind well wishes......

I COULDN'T bear to sell that little table and chairs...what happens when the grandkids come??

Anyhow, it looks good out there and of course the garden is a handful this time of year. Hard to keep up, so impossible to keep blogging as regularly as you'd like.
