I was outside, enjoying the sun, planning what I hope will be a beautiful makeover for my shed and new garden around it. As I rounded the house to an existing garden I found these beautiful green tops of my daffodils poking out of the ground!
Oh happy day!
I'm just trying to ignore the fact that there is snow and ice in the weather forecast!

How lovely to see the promise of Spring. BTW nice job on the new header, off to read and catch up with your wonderful blog.
Eve, we are so far away from seeing this in New England!
What planet are you on, Eve? LOL! So nice to see just a touch of spring, even if it's many, many miles away.
Oh, how exciting!!!!! Can't wait to see the blooms :-) I planted over 100 new bulbs this year, so I can't wait to see them start popping up! I just looked at our weather forecast and we've got some COLD weather on the way this weekend and next week. A reminder that winter is still not over. I'll just crank up the fireplace and the electric blanket and hang on till spring!
Awesome! Daffodils are my official first sign of spring. We usually don't spot ours until February.
You made my evening! :)
Makes me smile too! I took a long walk yesterday and saw lots of teeny new buds on the trees :)
Oooooh, that is exciting! And to see that in early January?!? What?!? Too cool!
Happy, happy day, indeed! AND, I ADORE your new header - those colors are amazing!!!!!
WOW! That is really exciting. You've made me want to run out and check on my bulbs. The forecast for the next few days is a bit daunting. I'm not looking forward to the cold! Stay warm!
Did you move your whole yard to the southern hemisphere?! We're -3F today and -8F tomorrow.
Always a delightful sight!
That is so lovely to see Evie.
I'm ready for Spring, bring on the green! Also your blog is looking really nice.
I was out looking for daffodils last week but didn't see any. Time to look again! After our Christmas snow, I figured that was it for the season. Apparently not, if the weatherman is right. In preparation we have plenty of firewood, lots of food, and a good movie to view. Bring on the snow!
