Well Gimpy is doing better each day, I'm still not too sure about her long term life but we are doing everything we can to keep her warm at night, and happy during the day. For a couple nights all I had to do was put her in the bucket turn out the light and "see you in the morning", but last night we heard a scuffle and looked in and...well...she decided she liked the sink as a roost.
Now maybe if we were lucky she would sit facing out or only aim for the green bucket but I didn't want to take the chance. So I covered her with the towel. Of course I woke up early this morning thinking the worst...what if she suffocated in the night, what if she got all tangled up in the towel, what if, what if, what if.
All for not...the towel was in place...
Gimpy was fine...

It's so hard to nurse our loved ones when they're sick, isn't it? So much worry & concern. She looks like she's doing very well though and with a companion like Daisy Lu sitting bedside, she should be back to normal in no time.
Give Gimpy a get well from me okay? That little guinea is getting lots of TLC that's for sure. Daisy Lu had a big smile on her face didn't she?

Thanks everyone...I'll send your well wished to the Gimpster. She just loves sitting out in the warm sunshine.
Jenny, those are Morgan's wellies and they actually have flamingos on them!! She has come very close to out growing them and is in need of a new pair. Great for bird watching fieldtrips!
Glad she is safe. Remember those nights of worrying about our babies like that?

Yes those are snow geese...they flew by the other day. They go by in the thousands at times. I heard what I call their "little dog" barking and knew they were coming. I just love to see them overhead on a sunny day.
Ahh, what ifs..just like bringing up baby again..once a parent always a parent:)
I'm hoping we see her improve each day and with Daisy lu keeping her company I'm sure that helps!
