My new garden document....

It's time to get busy with the digging of my new garden so yesterday it began... Please disregard the broken chair (we're going to build new chairs that wont blow off the deck this summer) but do regard my sweet little mascot lounging on the cushion there! She's SO tiny!
When my sweet hubby came home from work he helped with the tractor, digging up the sod. I still have a big job ahead removing good dirt from the sod but it should go a lot more quickly....
This is the other side of the steps...you can see the hose used for edging.
Wow I have a lot of work to do!! I hope to be done by the end of the week and the plants should be here soon!!
Stay tuned!!

Wow, thats quite a project you have going there. I'm sure it'll look great when you're done and we're all going to want to see the after results.

What a great yard. I think the garden is going to be beautiful, and I look forward to watching the progress over the next few weeks. Good luck!

Thanks guys!
I've been on a birding trip to Upper and Lower Lakes outside Canton NY today. It was about 80 degrees!!! Hopefully will post pictures tomorrow. I am going to be very busy for the next few days!
Keep posted!

I see that you have Daisy Lu doing the supervising. With a few well placed dog treats you could probably get some help with that digging.

Well Mike...lets not give her any ideas for later when the garden is full of flowers!!! :-0
