Busy...busy...busy....

We are very busy and I don't have time to do much of a blog but this morning the female oriole stopped at my orange! This is an older photo from last year but it looks pretty much the same as today. I think the orioles are building a nest close by tho because I saw her carrying grass yesterday.
Have a great day!!!

My favorite bird to feed, next to humming birds. If you want to see them go nuts at the feeder add a small container with grape jelly, the just love it. Last year I started using a feeder that was made to hold both, and they went through around 12lbs of jelly. The tend to stay away from the humming bird food when jelly is available. -Mike

Hi Eve,
I hope you and your cousin are having fun visiting! I wanted to tell you that I had a beautiful bright orange Oriole here the other day too!!! It really caught my eye, haven't seen one at my house yet!! They are very striking! Anyway, hope you're having fun!

Lucky you! We had a nest nearby last year, but it's pretty rare here - they seem to be inching north. sigh-

You said they would turn up Eve.
You better have the camera ready now.

Hmmm, maybe I should start putting out oranges, I've never seen an oriole in my neighborhood. It's time to try and attract some.
