I can feel it in the air....

Spring is so close I can taste it! I can smell it and I can hear it. The robins were singing their hearts out yesterday morning despite the early freezing air. Today the red-winged blackbirds are sounding out their territory and it sets my heart at ease. This is the time of year when all northern gardeners get excited about the surprises that will be popping up from their formerly petrified gardens. Evey year its like a new gift that has not been given before, even though it has and it will continue to be. If you have garden fever as I do your gardens just seem to get bigger and bigger or more and more numerous each year!

My backyard garden Spring 2006:

And bigger it gets! Spring 2007:

I have a new garden planned for my front yard this spring. I cant wait to get started!!!

Eve - what a tease!! All those photos of beds being enlarged and prepped, but no pictures of them in full bloom??!! :-) That looks like a wonderful layout you have...from that sort-of-kidney shaped bed to the raised beds in the distance. Beautiful!
Spring...bring it ON!! I am so ready..in fact...it was a torrential downpour just 10 minutes ago, but now the sun is shining...quick, out to the garden!!

The hardest part for me is...when I look out there right now, I'm looking at 3 to 6 inches of SNOW!!! More pictures to come farmgirl, and I'm excited for you being out in the garden!
Have fun!

Hmmmm... perhaps it's time to threaten to post a pic of her being potty-trained. Every mom has at least one of those. "Everyday Confessions of a Frugal Mom" posted one of her son in February. The two of them will probably wind up in therapy over that years from now. :-)
This may entice Rachel to show a bit more respect toward your blogging subject matter. ;-)

I concur with Rachel. This is a boring blog. However, I am quite impressed with your backyard garden. The Farmgirl and I will rest uneasy in anticipation of your May flowers (unless, of course, you are growing a veggie garden). Pleeeease, anything but another Dutch garden!
Love, your cool friend.

What kind of fun is this for me if you have to approve everything I say? I'm going to create my own blog so I can speak uncensored.
