I am SO sorry......

I must apologize....to all the little dogs of the world. I am sorry to all you little dogs for not having faith in you. I now will say that I am on board with little dogs. Daisy Lu is my first little dog. Before she was a part of my life I used to say things like..."well...you know...little dogs...I dont really care for little dogs...." and "I'm a 'big dog' person" and "those little dogs...not so good"....I'M SORRY, I AM SO SORRY FOR EVER SAYING A NEGATIVE WORD ABOUT A LITTLE DOG!!! Please forgive me! I've learned a lot from this little dog, she has taught me that a little dog doesnt know it's little. That there is more to a little dog than meets the eye. Now, I still love all you big dogs but come on...you can hold your own against a big bunny rabbit! and hawks don't look at you like you're dinner.

Daisy Lu you're the biggest little dog that I've ever known. You've taught me that no matter how small you are...you are big at heart. You are one tough cookie and I should probably have named you something besides Daisy Lu!!! I should have named you....ROXY or ZENA the worrier dog!!!

Little dogs....you are now a part of my world!

Oh gawd...that SO sounds like something my 16-year-old son would have said to me. Ha ha ha HA!!

And..that face...it's so...so..familiar! I can clearly see the Jack Russell in her. But the side of her body (when she has her face in the snow) looks completely Cairn!! I laughed hard at that picture because I have a similar one of Roxy, face buried up to her neck in snow, sniffing something out.

But...I must point out...when you are proclaim your love to a small dog, you are really proclaiming this love to the TERRIER small dogs. They are, in my mind, the smartest, looniest, most enthusiastic, energetic, curious, trouble-making, coolest dogs in the world. But that's just my personal opinion. :-)

You might be right about the "terrier" comment farmgirl! Depending on the time I have left in this world I may like to do a little dog study!!! There is only one problem...I'm stuck on my brand of car...I'm on my third Subaru WRX...I may be stuck on the Jack/tzu too!!!!

And I don't blame you a bit - once you've had an experience with Terrier, it's hard to move away. Jack Russell Terriers are so smart, I've heard. I grew up with a Dachshund/Terrier mix and she was an awesome first dog to have! But I may be completely discounting the attributes that the Shih Tzu part is bringing to the table.
Hey, between the two of us, we've got a full blooded terrier :-)
It would be fun to see them play together.

That's exactly what I said a few years back. I just got a "little" dog about a month ago, and we are all smitten with her. She is so sweet and lets the girls carry her wverywhere. She has the patience of a saint. I love that girl!!
