Year of the Sky....

This has been the most beautiful summer I can remember when it comes to looking up! It's been much more rainy and cold than we are used to but I'm happy because my yard is green and my flowers are happy.

I took these four shots and stitched them together and although you can REALLY see the stitch I thought it gave it an interesting look and frankly I just don't have time to fiddle with it....what with all my running around after Guinea Fowl!
The moon there on the left was just the icing on the cake!
PS the photo was quite large when I loaded it but for some reason it looks as if you cant get a full view by clicking on it....I'm not sure why.

It's beautiful even in small view and I can see the moon. Maybe because it is so long, it can't be brought up larger. I agree about the skies....I've never seen so many days of huge puffy clouds and lovely blue!

Hey we had the same idea this morning with the nice sky shot. For us this summer it's been rare because of all the rain.

Eve,
Perhaps you could have one of those long frame-less board type prints made and hang it on the wall

Hello Eve

I hope all goes well with you. I like the way you stitch photos together - how do you do it? I take it that the little white dot is the moon you refer to!!! :-)

Best wishes, Adrian

I know what you mean, I've been looking up at the sky and there have been the most gorgeous puffy clouds around this summer. The stitching does give a nice effect, beautiful picture. Have a great weekend.

Hi Eve
Lovely panorama. I guess you do the stitching in photoshop. I can see an e-mail lesson coming on! (-:
I tried to take a photo of the moon hand-holding my camera the other night. Hmmmmm!next time I shall try it with a tripod!!! (-:

Thanks all,
It's been a busy day, hopefully will post again tomorrow. Jenny and Adrian, I use the software that came with my canon camera...Zoom Browser EX. It is all automatic...so there are no tricks there!!

Hey Eve!

Thanks for the tip about Zoom Browser - I must check up to see what I have got with my Canon!!

Take care, Adgi xx

I kind of like the stitching: it has a old-fashioned post card kind of feel to it. And the clouds are really, really beautiful!
