Time for Another???

Tree Swallow

A mother’s job is
Never done,
She works so hard
Each day.

Her babies chirp
For hours on end,
So mom will bring food
Their way.

One at a time
They eat their fill,
All she must satisfy.

And by the time the last one’s
Chirping is done,
The first one begins
To cry!!

Wow, can't believe the tree swallows are still nesting there, they're long done around here.

Oh John! I forgot to mention this picture was taken a couple years ago!! Most likely in June or early July!

Love the photo and the poem is perfect! Reminds me of the old saying: "A man works from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done."

Oh, Eve! I just love your poetry! And that picture - wow - the Mom practically has her head INSIDE that babies mouth! Great capture!

You know how true that poem is about mother's work never done. It reminds me of a story my mother-in-law used to tell. She had 5 kids in the days for snowsuits with wool leggins and mittens. She used to say, 'by the time I got the last kid dressed and OUT...the first one was back in to get warm again!!!'
