Colors of Spring....

Today Ole, Daisy Lu and I decided to go for a walk to enjoy the colors of Spring. Sometimes you have to look a little deep to find colors this time of year but they are out there to be found. Colors like....
Red...
a type of dogwood. Yellow...
lichen growing on rocks in a crevice.

Brown....
our bridge that washes away every year and our old tree fort that needs to be fixed. Blue....
the color of very old rocks.
White...
Snow that refuses to melt and a yawning dog.and green...
grass trying to grow in the little bit of sun that shines this time of year. Oh and although I didn't get a picture, white can also be found in a deer tail that is caught off guard by a fat dog and his fast little friend!!!

Hi eve....I never was able to figure out how to send an email from your blog...what's the trick? I'd love to see Daisy Lu in her mud suit, lol!! I just set up a temp email address: donkeys.rock@yahoo.com. Send me something there and I'll send you my actual email. :-)
I love your color-themed post here. You got some really nice shots. And, man, Daisy Lu can really run, can't she!

Hi Eve, when I'm out photographing I always have my tripod and monopod with me, even in my kayak. The image of the Hummingbird Moth was taken using my monopod. The monopod is more popular with sports photographers, but I find it handy in tight spots. Even with IS lenses, nothing beats a good solid support. Hope this helps. Mike
