Julie's keen eye for design shows all through her surroundings.
I can only take credit for part of this wonderful design after giving her this fern from my garden when she visited me.
Such a beautiful fenced garden which drew me right into the woods.
A walk in the foggy forest just brought me down to earth.
At the end of one of many paths is yet another beautiful scene.
Back home again.
Life in Maine is good.
Her home is decorated in "Primitive" American, and I couldn't have felt more comfortable and warm. 
The simplicity was perfect. 
The function outstanding. 
Even the Polish Pottery butter dish my mom and I brought her fit right in!
She certainly made a birder feel welcome!
All the colors are so pleasing to the eye.
And OH she's a rug hooker and I am awed by her talent! 
My favorite of course!
Her house is filled with these beautiful works of art. 
And of course the Heron just tops it off!!
Shortly after we arrived we wasted no time and headed right out to the beach.
The locals were having a blast!
We found many treasures and Morgan even tasted the salt water!
When I saw this Subaru that looks just like mine...but without the rack on top, I had to take a picture! We're pretty sure it came with the surfer man that passed us as we came off the beach...sorry girls no picture! I'm one of those freaks that like cars more than men in wetsuits!! 
It was so good to get back to Julie's and have a comfortable visit

Hello everyone! I've missed my visits from you all and to you all!
Viewing this picture might invoke a trip to Africa!
The trail is looking very tidy these days!
I love this dogwood with it's creamy berries and bright red stems.
The wildflower garden we planted at Murphy's grave is really looking nice. I'm not sure what these little purple daisies are (there are white ones too) but they sure are pretty!
The cosmos are a girls best friend!
The color can be stunning and will probably get better before it turns white!
My Flame Grass back in the garden, the grass should turn red this fall. I can't wait to see if it does.
But where was the wildlife out there? Well, there were a few butterflies, dragonflies, spiders, and birds but not many pictures of them...so I thought I would throw in a few of my favorite wild animals who are always happy to go walking, even if it is an exhausting experience! 
It's always nice to share!

The kids are back to school here! Hooray! There's a little red-head waaayyyy down at the end of that driveway! And of course the doggies know they have to let her go!
This has got to be a mom's favorite color come fall! 
Now it's time to relax on the porch...
And enjoy the last bit of summer. 
It's been a big accomplishment for this good dog to get even better, and accept the new flock into his pack, but he's done it! Yesterday, Labor Day, Ole was left off his lead the whole day and not a feather was ruffled! This morning we celebrate with a picture and a smile!
