Emerging Gardens

The days have been warm and sunny and wonderful things are beginning to happen.

All these photos were taken this evening before the light was lost.

Late afternoon is absolutely the best time for photographing the garden. Your pictures are lovely. The flowers of spring are my favorite. Is that a lilac? I have heard they don't do well this far south, but I would love one if there is a kind that prospers here!

Thanks everyone! I find something new blooming everyday. The columbines have buds! Yes Deb that is a lilac. It was here when I got here and it's doing very well. One is even sprouting up from underneath. I live on top of a mountain, so maybe that helps?

Beautiful Evis! I swear I can smell those spring like smells just as if I were there at Sunny Side Up :) It just seems so far along this year! I want some Lilac! Our Columbine has just started to come up.

Beautiful blooms. It looks as if you are a couple of weeks ahead of us here in the Ozarks. Our redbuds are in full bloom, but dogwoods are just starting to open.
