Sweet Keets

Friday we went up the road to see the keets that had hatched in the field before they moved them to the brooder. They were so cute and you sure can see the difference between the Pearl (darker) and Lavender. Of course Morgan was so happy to give a hand in moving the little ones. Mr. Rhode Island Red was more than happy to keep an eye on the goings on. One of the little ones was trying to figure out who to get under! But they all ended up safe in the brooder in no time. This is the guineas back yard! What a great view!

Eve, will you be adopting a few of these keets?

Hi Sharon,
I would love to say yes but I'm afraid at this time we have so many projects on our list that building a coop is not one of them. I just don't want to get guineas without proper housing. I do hope to adopt some in the future. I know my gardens would benefit from them!

Good Monday Morning Eve!

That is a wonderful photo of Morgan holding that feathery little body! And Mr. Rhode Island Red is a hunka bird.

You are right about the view-round bales, a pond and trees-lovely! What more could the guineas want in a back yard?!!

When they grow up Evie, can you tell the difference between the Pearls and the Lavenders? They're all so sweet looking and the photo of Morgan is a keeper! What a fantastic playground too!

Lovely photo of Morgan, Evie.
Those Guineas have a great piece of real estate to live in.

Yes...well...Julie I wouldn't mind having that backyard for MY guineas!

Yes Jenny...the lavender guineas are a lighter color than the pearl. There are many different colors of guineas too!

I really do miss the guinea kids!

Interesting! I don't know much about guineas, but they sure are cute. I'm glad they're being well taken care of. And that is a beautiful backyard view!

Sorry my comment about the Crape Myrtles was confusing. I know you're in Bama. :-)

What a cute bunch of guinea chicks! Are you going to take a few home with you? The different colors really show at that age.
