Remembering NYC

Kerry, from "Kerry Hawkins Photography and Design" http://khawkinsphotoanddesign.blogspot.com/ just got back from a trip to NYC. She lives and works in Dedham, Massachusetts, near Boston. I find her photography stunning and thought provoking! She finds details that many would leave behind and makes them into wonderful works of art. Visit her blog and you will see what I mean!

She took a trip to New York City and it brought back memories of my trip with Morgan and friends in 2004. Here are some of my photos that are mostly filtered, for fun, that I took while there.
Radio City Street
Macy's Window Dressing.
From the ferry.
Looking down from The Double Tree Hotel
From The Empire State Building at night!
Outside Grand Central Station.
The Hudson River.
Thanks Kerry for suggesting I post them and for bringing a little flare to my day!

I love them. Thanks for posting them. NYC is one of the greatest cities to photograph. Thanks for the blog mention, too.

I've never been to the Big Apple. Perhaps one day. I do like your collection of photos, especially the last two. :o)

Having tried urban photography and stinking at it, let me just say that these photos are great. It takes a good eye to do this kind of work.

GReat photos Evie, it looks like an exciting place to visit. To be honest tho, I don't thinks it's my cup of tea. I'm none to keen when I have to take Chris to London either! (-:

Eve, when were you last there? There's certainly no place like NYC and you took some great photos! Maybe I'll get around to sharing some more of mine someday.

Is it hot enough where you live yet???

The night photo is stunning- and they are all really good- but that one is very nice!

I took my daughter to the Pokemon Center in Rockefeller Center when she was 10- that was her birthday wish. She and my 8 year old son and I had a great time- we stayed in a hotel right across from the Natural History Museum- which was perfect. I want to go back- we had a super time.

I really like the filtering you applied to the photos, nice job. I'm an amateur photographer and love NY city too. I live in NJ. I love the first and the one with the signs :-)

Very nice pictures Eve. I especially like the first one – the detail in the cars is excellent and the DofF very good. Of course, the night picture from the Empire State Building is a beauty. NYC is a great place to photograph as there is soooo much there, both buildings and people.
