I guess this just seems to be the theme around here lately...beautiful (afternoon) skies... and satellite potatoes. For a little added interest I thought I would post these Hawthorn berries for Steve at http://shootingmyuniverse.blogspot.com/This was taken on Oct 29 during our first snow.

LOL! Satellite Potatoes...love it! They really are cute...do they interfere with reception? I saw some along the side of the road yesterday, but not a good place to stop for photos. The skies and berries are beautiful...such a contrast.
Hi Mary! Glad you liked the post! So far not interference...but if they get any fatter...Wait til you see tomorrows post!!!
Love your skies and satellite potatoes.
I love those guineas! Wonder why they are so fascinated w/ that satellite - maybe they are communicating w/ someone you don't know about? :-0
I would love to pick one of them up and pet them (And maybe pluck one feather as a keepsake!)
Hi Evie, I love the way they sit. Their legs just sort of disappear completely! So cuddly looking, don't suppose they like a cuddle though! (-:
Oooops, forgot to mention the beautiful cloud formations and the chilly winter hawthorne berries, made me shiver that one! (-:
Satellite potatoes....snort!!
:-)
Thanks Leedra, I love your sky shot too!! Thanks for stopping!
Shelley…email me your address and I’ll send you some feathers!! My daughter loves to pet the guineas.
Hi Barb, They are a fun bunch!
Jenny, they hide their legs because it is FREEZING here!!! Poor kids!! Morgan cuddles with them all the time! Thanks for your thoughts!!
Danni…I live to make you snort!!!
Really love these clouds. Brrr...your Hawthorn berries are much colder. They are a very welcome splash of color.
These birds are bigger than I thought they were..They certainly keep close to your house..love the name pet-dish name you gave them! lol love your sense of humor!
Those satellite potatoes seem very tame. Will they eventually lay eggs like chickens do?
Thanks Tina they sure are easy to have fun with!!
They will lay eggs John, they say they are good for eating, but not in the winter at all.
Lovely skies Evie and kind of lovely birds. {:)
I was going to ask if your reception was better!? I may have to encourage my guineas to get up on the 2nd story of our house where our dish is!:) Love the official term, Satellite Potatos!
came here from Shelley's blog. Love all those birds on the porch...
Hi, I started coming here because I saw the guineas on someone's blog. I can't wait to show my little granddaughters the birds knocking on the patio door or on your daughters shoulder.
