Bitter Sweet...

Well, guys...I've got some news. Some of you already know, but I felt it was time to share with all. We put our house up for sale about a week or so ago. It was a hard decision but my husband has wanted to go back down south for many years. I've put it off, but I think it's time. There are a lot of pros and cons here but I'm an adventurer at heart and can deal with lots of changes.
That is a For Sale sign in front of my house!!I will keep you up to date on our adventure in the weeks possibly months to come.
I hope that in the end, where ever our new home ends up, I will be able to bring you as much enjoyment in pictures as I have along the way.
Sadly, I have my doubts that we will have the amount of land we have here in our new home.
We will most likely not be bringing the guineas along. I have people who would love to take them and give them a good home. I would really love it if whoever buys the house would like to keep them on. Time will tell.
Wish us luck, in the mean time...it's Sunny Side Up as usual.

Eve,
You are so right in seeing this as an adventure...what's that ole saying, its not the destination but the journey of life that is important.... plus you won't have to put your bike in storage if you live further south..and the weather is a little warmer!! Ride Eve ride!! :)

Eve, one door closes, another one opens. It's always hard to leave one place and move on. I did that ten times in as many years when Gregg was in the navy. But oh the adventures we had. I wish for you many, many happy adventures. Full steam ahead and fair winds and following seas ;)

I wish you luck, but most of all follow where God leads you. Listen quietly.

Yes, Eve, you are in for an adventure. I spent 50 weeks working a job in Tennessee while my wife stayed in Colorado waiting for the house to sell. Then I got a better offer in Massachusetts. I was making enough so we could leave the house empty and we could live together again.

The plus point that you should have some very good birding. I found Tennessee to have wonderful and colorful birds, and lots of them. Keep us posted. Best of luck to you. Notis I did not say good-by...we expect that you will have new and exciting posts in the future.

Thank you all!

Leedra...I will listen, thank you!

Steve, I thought the birding would be wonderful! We will be close to the Tennessee border. Near Huntsville, AL. I hope not to have to wait too long to sell the house, but it's all part of the deal.

Thank you too Denise! I'm up for the adventure!

Oh, Eve....I'm sorry you have to go through this move. I pray that wherever you go you will find wildlife and happiness. How far south are we talking about? I know with your sunny dispositition you will find a happy new home. And hey, you get to take all of us with you! I just read some of the comments and see Tennessee and Alabama mentioned....coming down my way! Really....it's great country...just different! Will be praying for smooth sailing with the sale of the house and the move.

You'll be near the Smokey Mountains...that's a plus!

Thanks for your prayers Mary and your thoughts! Northern Alabama is the target. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes! It will be an adventure and will be happy to bring you all along!

Hi Evie
I know what a bitter/sweet decision this is for you, but I think you have such a fantastic attitude to it all. Here's hoping that the house gets sorted quickly so that you can start to share your new adventures with your blogging friends.

I love adventures! I'm sure it will be no time before you will be giving us all kinds of new stories and pics. I hope the people that buy your place decide to keep the guineas on.....it's always easier on the guineas. We only have 5 acres and guineas so hopefully you can have guineas again!

Thanks Jenny!

Thank you too Tammy, it's good to know you can contain guineas in 5 acres...one morning I went out and they were 1/3 of a mile to the main road buckwheating at the morning traffic going by!!! I called and they came running like they were lost souls! They haven't been that far since! Silly birds!

Eve, I wish you luck in selling your home. I am a firm believer in "Everything Happens for a reason" ( How's that for sunny?) We have had our home for sale for almost a year, No luck yet, but that is also OK with me. Good and bad on both sides of selling her also.. I try not to worry about it, and believe that if it is supposed to happen it will,,, if not... you get the picture..
