Thanks Julie!!!

When my cousin Julie came to visit me we had very few days to work outside because of the inclement weather. Her first day here we went out and worked on an idea I had for a railing to be turned up on it's end for a clematis trellis. I had the garden planned for peonies and the old wash buckets but without Julie's vision I may not have come up with this plan!

Yesterday I planted the buckets, now that it looks as if there will be no more frosts, and all the while was thinking of you, Julie!

We had a good visit and will be looking forward to seeing your gardens this summer.

The iris are blooming in the "wild" garden...
...and the hawthorn trees are shading our seats for an afternoon cocktail!!!

I love that wash tub flower bed. I saw someone do something similar with an old metal headboard. Bring on the iced tea and I'll meet you under the trees!

That looks wonderful! It will be fun to see it again once the clematis has climbed its new trellis. Great idea!
I have those exact same green chairs in my garden - next time I sit in mine, it'll almost be like sitting with you! :-) I'll have to remember to take my cocktail. Though, during early summer evenings, I tend to enjoy a nice chilled glass of pinot grigio! :-)

Thanks FTP!

Danni, I'm sure I'm going to butcher the pronunciation but the "pinot grigio" sounds like a lovely idea!!! We'll sit under an umbrella and watch the donkeys decide whether to take the plunge!!! Ha Ha!!!

Thanks Helen,
Hopefully it wont take too long for the clematis to climb! I'll be sure to take pictures!

Those two adirondacks under the trees looks like a perfect spot to relax after a day of gardening.
