Hi Barb, He wouldn’t eat a human but beware critters!!! The Norwegian Elkhound is a very sweet breed, they say it would take a great deal to make them mean! But they do look like they could eat you, so make a great deterrent for would-be trouble makers! Ole is a bit “big boned” for his breed!!!
He is absolutely gorgeous! Ari would be beyond smitten, were they to ever meet. And I bet the pond becomes very important this time of year for a dog with a thick coat like that!
Oh my - what a wonderful dog! (Right now I'm a little grumpy with my little emmy - she "escaped" and went for a nice long, wet run outside, just when I was about to leave for work. )

What a good dog! What an impressive coat he's got, too. I'll bet he gets hot in the summer?

Beautiful dog, at least he's lucky enough to have a pond to take a dip in on a hot day.
