Ole, the Ever Watchful

Good Ol' Ole. He always lets me know what's going on in the woods on the mountain. This morning was no different. I heard his "there's a critter" bark, turn into "DEER" bark and quickly got my bins and camera.
A buck was sneaking through the woods. I'm pretty sure he was saying to himself...
"Don't mind that fat dog"
"Just keep your head down, concentrate and keep walking"
"Keep your head down and hide behind the trees"
Well, it worked. Ole watched him depart the property and retired back to his post!

Ooh, it looks cold out there in the woods. I'd be hanging out on the porch, too :-) Sometimes it just isn't worth the effort, you know :-)

Snow! It's a good thing Ole has a warm winter coat to wear. As Toni said, sometimes it's just not worth the effot!

Well done Ole, good capture. You just need to get that photographer out in the woods more.{:))

I think OLe was sensible to relax on the porch rather than to chase after a deer in the freezing, frosted woods! But nice of him to let you know about it, so you could get some photos.
