MIA on the Mountain

Well I've been busy and sure do miss my bloggin buddies and have to catch up. My mom moved from NY to Alabama on the 7th and we've been getting her settled in her new apartment in Guntersville. Yesterday morning was one of those "below the mountain foggy days" so before I went to mom's I grabbed the camera and headed to a place I thought I might get some good pictures. There were lots of birds singing and I did see a nice song sparrow but these two guys caught my eye. They were just too far away to get a better shot.
I think they are Red-tail Hawks. I was hoping for Eagles. They flew when I got too close. This picture makes it look like I'm on top of the world!

That's a pretty cool cloud bank Eve. You do look like your on top of a mountain!

I hope your mom enjoys living in Alabama as much as you do. It must be nice to have her close again : )

Fabulous misty shots Evie.
The Subi is really special and looks like its flying above the clouds, which is nothing different for that car. {:)

The last shot is spectacular! Great timing! I imagine that you will see some Bald Eagles before spring arrives. I sure hope so! I hope that your mom likes Alabama!

Heady stuff Evie. I love that second to last one. For some reason, I thought you'd be on your bike, but the sub looks pretty cool up there! (-: So glad Mom has joined you down south!

Hey, buddy! I arrived home last night and am catching up on blog reading, coffee in hand. We have some catching up to do, don't we? I see a lunch in our future. LOVE LOVE LOVE these photos, and I'm absolutely over the moon about your new header! We drove home to fog rising above Green Mountain, its fingers just caressing the peaks. YAY! Welcome to Alabama, Eve's Mom!

Don't you just love it when the fog lays in the valley below and you're above it. Kind of like being at the ocean above the foamy waves.
Lovely photos.
