Is this really happening?

Well I have to say I hope I'm not jinxing myself because we have a ways to go yet, but we've found new owners for our house. I don't want to get into too much detail but I'm very excited that our Guinea Fowl kids get to stay at their old digs as the new owners welcomed them with (nervous) but open arms. The lady of the house is a veterinary technician who loves animals so it couldn't have been a better match! In the mean time we have made an offer on a house in the woods in Alabama and it was accepted! It sits in the woods on 11.9 acres at the top of a mountain and if you can believe it there are gardens and trees galore!
It has a very long driveway.Mind you I have yet to see it but my husband says I will love it.
I trust him.
I really was worried about posting this yet because anything could happen but I feel pretty confident we will be here late next month. I've a lot of work and worry ahead, so hang in there gang. This will be a real adventure!

Oh wow Eve, that's such good news in more ways than one. The fact that you have a buyer, that they will be taking your beloved Guineas, and that your hubby has found such a beautiful house in Alabama. I'm really happy for you.

I look forward to seeing all the wildlife photography you'll be taking at your new digs once you're settled in. It seems like you'll be seeing plenty of it.

How wonderful! The house looks great and so much acerage! You will have so many great photos for us from this place! Has he started building you a new guinea coop yet so you can get more?? I'm glad your flock has a nice new owner coming to take care of them.

Thanks all! I'm so looking forward to getting to know the birds that I'll be sharing the woods with.
Mary, we're leaving 120 acres!!! So it's going to seem different but we're blessed to find such a place!

We will so miss the Guineas though. Why aren't you taking them with you?

Best of luck Eve. I hope it all goes off without a hitch. I'm especially happy that the guinneas get to stay put.

Thanks Sharon, it will be a big change. It would be very hard to take the guineas because we don't have a coop for them yet and we will actually be homeless for a week or so!!! I don't think a hotel or where ever we end up will take 13 guineas!!!

Thanks Lynne!

Wow! Congratulations! Keep your eyes on the prize.

I'm feeling sad that you won't be bringing your guineas with you though. I've grown quite accustomed to seeing their goofy antics here.

BTW, I'm using "emsility" in a sentence over at my place. :o) My new word verification today is "vaptacan". Another great word! I'm thinking this could get addictive...

I will Carolynn! Who knows...maybe those folks on the mountain should watch out...there could be guineas in their future!! You never know!!

I'll be over to see your word usage.......

FABULOUS NEWS Evie! The house and grounds look absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to look up in my American bird books to see what you're likely to get there.

Oh Eve, I'm just SO EXCITED for you and your family!!! What a LOVELY home your husband chose..and that long driveway, gardens and trees trees and trees mean lots of birdees, birdees, and birdees!! It sounds like a wonderful place.
I'm particularly happy that your guineas are getting to stay, how nice that the new owner is into animals!! What a relief for you!!
Good Luck..I'm sure all will go well... and maybe you will be showing us a baby guinea that will grow with you and your family in your new home!!

I'll tell you this, if the deal falls through, then you definately don't want to do business with that buyer. B and I learned that when it is right, everything will be right. If these are your buyers, then the house will close. If it doesn't close, then believe me, they are not people you want to do business with.

I hope these are your buyers and that that they are sincere and you closing goes through.

Let's just decide this is the right offer and that is it. No counter intentions.

A 120 acres???? Even 11 sounds like a lot to me! But a very beautfiul 11 from what you show...lots of trees! That's 109 less to pay property taxes on and be responsible for :-)

Congrats Eve and family.. I am sure with your "sunny attitude" it will be the best of times.. I hope all goes smoothly with your sale and the purchase. I know all to well how stressful and frustrating selling and moving can be... keeping my fingers crossed!
