Blue Sky

Saturday was THE day. The day we, up here in the north, wait for all year. It's just a memory now, but I was actually outside without a coat digging up a few allium bulbs and lily tubers to take with me to Alabama. This goose was talking to the guineas at the pond but decided to steal away before they got too close.
Hopefully there will be a few more days like that to come soon.

Eve,
..and you deserved this day SOOO much after the winter you had..
Good shot of the underside of this goose, hope it wasn't dropping any cargo as it flew over you!!

I wish I was able to do yard work but there's still plenty of snow on the ground and where it's melted it's too soft to do anything.

Blue sky, how nice. We've had rain the last two days. This is a pretty cool shot.

Hi Evie
So glad you're getting a chance to take some of your flower treasures with you. It must've felt great to get outside without a gazillion layers on! (-:

What a nice shot of this goose. We have 100's of them around here. Talking some of your flower bulbs with you will make it look more like home. Is there some reason you can't take the Guineas with you?

Thanks everyone! As far as taking the guineas with us Becky, as much as I would love to it would be difficult to move them. We really wont be able to move in our house for about a week...the guineas would need to be cooped up for a number of weeks to understand where their new home is and we don't have a coop there...yet! :-)
I think they will be just happy to continue on their lives here. If I had know we were moving I wouldn't have gotten the birds but I'm so glad now that I did or I never would have known how sweet they are.

I'm glad you got the Guineas too Eve. Your stories about them have brought us so much joy. Great shot of the goose here. I'm happy you were able to get out there and enjoy some nice weather.
