Said I would post it....

Ok, no big deal, but I forgot to put this leaf in my post yesterday so here it is. I just thought it was a little amazing how it got all wrapped up and stuck on that twig. Must be a tough little leaf. This is another picture from the walk. This bench has been out here for years and is covered with lichen, but when you need a place to sit, it's as good as any out here. I thought I'd fiddle with the picture this morning. Not an amazing work of art but hey...it's early!! Ha Ha!

We're all closed down here because of ice and snow so it will be a stay in and enjoy the comfort of home kind of day.

I like your artsy park bench. It looks like it's all covered in ice.

I think it is a very cool leaf shot and am glad you included it :-) It's hanging on so tightly, it deserves a little attention. Love the bench and bet it is great in the summer. The arty shot reminds me of scratch board art. I'm always fascinated by those black scratch boards and what people can do with them. Makes me want to go out and get some and play around.

Thanks Lynneee!

I'm glad you like the leaf Mary and I'm glad I've inspired you to do a little different art...Let me know if you do go try it! It would be fun to do on these cold winter days!

We have a glidder in the same condition, keep thinking we will paint it, but it is at the bottom of the list.

Believe it or not, we are all closed in due to so much rain. Don't ever remember this before, but the schools are closed due to rain. At this moment it is not raining, but the wind sounds like it might blow the house down.

Hey Eve

Looking at the leaf shot reminded me of the post I did towards the end of last year - I enjoyed putting that together. Love the arty bench shot too. Will try to get some Rook shots for you as well.

Best wishes, Adgi

So Evie.....how did you do that? Photoshop in some way I'm sure, but.......or is it a secret? (-: Love it by the way, as Lyneee said, kind of icy which fits the bill right now!

Hi Jenny, no secret. It's a plug-in called Fractalius from Redfield. There are many different choices to make once you open the picture and I just fool around til I get what I like. Well, I guess the final result is a secret because I don't keep a record on what I did!!! I guess I really should in case I make a masterpiece some day!!!

Cool, your art work looks like a wood cut print. It give interesting texture. I think you're on to something here.

Great new header with action packed Guineas, Evie.
I wouldn't recommend sitting on that seat at the moment.

That leaf must be strong - I like the shot! Also liked what you did w/ the park bench - do you think the guineas would sit on it? :)

Eve said...

Shelley,
Yes the guineas would sit on it and probably have! They will follow us anywhere and actually I have been way out there to find them before. Today...was a no show for them...they do not fancy ice and snow!

Isn't it interesting how a leaf becomes impaled like that? I'll bet the bench comes in handy on a warm day when you're looking for some solitude : )

Those can be the best kind of days. Especially, if you have a fireplace and someone to curl up with. Enjoy!

I like the tenacious -- but doomed -- leaf.
