September Sights

September is a tough month. Only the most hardy of living things can take the heat and drought of this summer.
The Sedum did well.
If I could remember the name of this beautiful garden flower I would say...it's a good one to have!
I know someone out there will help me out with the name of this plant!
I've been very careful to keep my favorite ferns watered and happy.
And these wild Beautyberries have spread under the Black Gum tree!
What would September be without the crazy antics of the Hummingbirds...
...yelling at me to fill the feeders...
 ...and keeping a watchful eye!
Summer is surely coming to an end.

It has been a long hot summer for sure! I am loving the cooler morning we are having. Your hummingbird photos are super! In another month they will be gone from my garden so I am enjoying their antics while I can!

A good wrap-up for a hot summer. Especially the hummers.

Caryopteris, I believe, is your blue flower, commonly called Blue Mist Spiraea. Yes, love the hummer shots :-)

Fabulous artistic images Evie. You also stopped that Hummer very well in his tracks.

Eve, I always enjoy your photos; great shots of the hummers! I am loving the cooler temperatures and rain we have had. My caryopteris is putting out a lot of pretty blue blooms now, too. The bees love it!

Wonderful hummer shots and the sedum is so good for attracting butterflies! My word verification for this is "quilt"....one of my favorite words :-)

Your garden looks like it does just fine in the heat and drought, thanks to your care! Maidenhair fern is one of my favorites. Glad to see you have it gracing your garden.

Love the pics of the bird! I've only seen that type in pics. Your garden looks lovely even though it sounds like a hard month for you. It's spring here and I'm loving it!

We had many hummingbirds around here in New England this year... Just beautiful pictures. I found you through Artistic Balance. I'm just a writer who is learning to paint. I marvel at truly fine photography... which yours is.

I took pictures of the same type favorite fern, love the way the stem grows in a circle. Do you know the name of the fern?
