The Joy of Bird Buddies!

It got really cold the night before I took photos of my trail and the Red-bellied Woodpecker and I noticed the water in the bird bath had froze. I saw a Nuthatch was looking for a drink of water, so I ran in to get some to top off the solid mass of ice and leaves. As soon as I went in the house I saw a flurry of wings out the window. Guess who?
I'm so glad I got my Bluebird house set up this year.
What a super treat!

Very cool! With the ice and snow we've had for the past week our feeders are mobbed every day.

I recently had a similar experience. i looked out the kitchen window to see the birdbath filled with blue birds! What a thrill! Your photo is great. You can see the expressions on those little birds' faces.

What a great photo. I don't get bluebirds but I see them often at my mother's house in the country. I forgot to hook up my bird bath defroster and just realized it this morning when I saw the birds looking for water and finding ice instead.

Stunning photo!! Bluebirds are a hard to spot here in Plymouth - at least in our back yard ;)

I just love the bluebird photos. I don't seem to have any here at the house, but there have been wrens all over the yard. So much fun to watch!

They're so cute. I noticed them in your header on my last visit. Nice capture! Each one is picture perfect. Cute little expressions on they're faces.
