Across The Pond

My friend Lucy introduced Morgan and I to Across the Pond in Huntsville. What a great place for landscaping, gifts and ponds.
We were greeted outside by this friendly Lion......and inside by this sweet parrot. They had great original paintings of my favorite things......and pudgy gifts to put in the yard. But the most fun were the living things. This was some fish....Do you see him now?He was actually really BIG.and a little bit rich......just $10,000 would allow you to bring him home. And that's no fish tale!

My wife and I like landscaping places but we haven't seen any like this! The fish photos are cool, Eve! Nice colors and formations. I can't believe that big fish is $10K!!

What a fun looking place! I like the pudgy birds, but I'll let you take the fish home. :)

Couldn't remember if I said so before, Congats on reaching 1000 iron miles!

$10,000 !! Sounds a bit fishy to me Evie, they must be "Gold" fish, or are the owners a bunch of Sharks. One can "eel" afford such prices in the current financial climate.{:)

Hi Mike! Believe it!

Thanks Kari...Now that my daughter is out of school and I've only a solo seat...the miles will slow down quite a bit :-(

Roy...you made me laugh!!! Very funny play on words...if it wasn't so early I'd probably be able to counter that!! Maybe the owners of the shop just LOVE that fish so much they don't want anyone to buy him!

I love Across the Pond!!! That is one more huge fish, Eve. I've not been there this year but think it's WAY past time for a little visit. Wanna go back?

What a fun shop to browse, so many tempting things to purchase, speaking of purchase did you buy anything? I love the paintings, any with chickens? Please explain to me why that ugly fish was ten thousand dollars!

That parrot is beautiful! The iguana is pretty cool too, though I'm not into tropical animals. I wish people would leave them where they belong. You know what I mean, Eve.

That's some fish! I'd say he's the king of the pond.

I think I'm REALLY glad that I don't live near this place....way too many things to spend money on!! Thanks for sharing such a special place. :)

I have to echo Julie, that is one ugly bloater of a fish, if they paid ME $10,000, I might consider taking it off their hands! (-: If I bought that lion for my garden, I'd no room for anything else!!!
(-: Yes, did YOU succumb to temptation and buy anything???

That fish is 10k?? I'm assuming he does tricks and flips for that - lol!! Looks like a neat place to visit!

Love the sun conure!! I would love to have one but they are extremely loud, probably as loud as a macaw. However, green cheek conures are very quiet, it sounds more like a whisper when they 'talk', so someday I'll have to add one to my little bird family :)
