We had a big snow storm on Wednesday and now it's really cold so it'll be a while before we see bare ground again. You're right, you'll be riding your motorcycle again a lot sooner than I will, most likely April or May for me.

I love your tree too Eve, very pretty. I clicked to enlarge, it is so much fun to see your tree ornaments. I know there are some funny and sweet stories and memeories to each of them! I didn't see a Guinea! You are right Christmas IS in the air.

WOW! Nice big tree Evie. I'm kind of intrigued by the big brown thing down the bottom? May I ask what it is??? (-: Also noted that you've framed the card I sent you, looks great up there! (-:

Nice tree! Christmas is in the air!

Hi all! Glad you enjoyed it.
Jenny, that, my dear, is a "primitive" crow that my sweet cousin Julie sent me. A strange creature indeed but I'm growing to live it!

Yes Shelley, this will be our first Christmas, it won't be long before our first year here is in the bag.

We're supposed to receive our first snow of the season tonight overnight. With all the extreme cold we've been having, precipitation that's headed our way is either going to hit us as snow and/or freezing rain.
We were planning to get our tree tomorrow - should be interesting, huh?
Your tree is very pretty! Which card is Jenny talking about?

Eve said...

Hi Danni,
We're having about the same weather as you, freezing rain or snow in the morning. We were supposed to go birding but I think we're going to pass on it. Good luck with the tree hunting!
The card is framed in the big white matt and frame to the left of the tree. It is a hand stamped Quail that Jenny sent from England! I believe she wrote "it's the closest thing to a Guinea that I could find!" or was it "it looks so much like a Guinea..." hahaha All I know is I love it and framed it so I could look at it everyday!

Oh and yes Jenny that other crow is another one that Julie sent me!! You sure have a good eye! Did you find the Loon??????

Where is the glass reindeer?

Eve said...

Well Rachel...I left it in the box! I was afraid that this slate floor would be the undoing of it. I also don't know where the glittery star is...do I have to go to the attic again!!!!

Thanks for stopping by Eve. :) I love your tree. Ours has less on it, but the Gnomeslayer is still all over it. It seems like I no sooner than get her off of it than she is back on. ;)

...I don't know how I missed your Sunny Side Up blog, but I did. I was just looking through it, and you have such beautiful photos. Love the shots of the first day of your snowfall, and the action shots of your little girl swinging. Very fun! Love all the little bird shots too!! (Beautiful tree...)
