:) Like looking forward to a surprise, doesn't it?
I was first attracted to here when i came across your blog name- because i do know of another bloggy friend who shares the same title, so thought i would just check to see if it was the same friend.
Anyway, happy to be browsing through your older posts.. i love your pictures of the wood and new shoots. Nature is beautiful, and doesn't seem to have any bad angle.
That little guy/gal looks all puffed out, is it chilly there? Dogwoods are a favorite tree of mine, unfortunately I have none in my yard. Here in our area the Dogwood is not guarantied and are a bit pricey.
Eve, Eve, Eve you have composed an awesome one here and the little puff ball of yellow feathers with the quizzical face cracks me up. Lovin' the water droplets. Clicking to enlarge is a whole new perspective. I am not believing you have buds on your Dogwood like that!! Wow-za!!!
Ach, what a cutie patootie! Love Goldfinches in the winter...and summer...and every season. This spring we'll have to have a Blooming Party in your front yard, er...acres. !!!
I've seen a few Goldfinches around lately but not many. Their sweet little songs and chirps are always nice to hear. I'd guess he's looking for something to eat!
Your header photo is so pretty Eve! Must have been from that morning with all the snow.
Thanks everyone! And welcome Silver! When the Dogwood blooms you're all invited to have a "blooming party" right here at Sunny Side Up! I arrived here in April of this year and they were already finished blooming so I am so excited to get to see them this spring!
Just one of those pleasing photos Evie, love the composition and he's a real sweetie! Now come springtime, when the dogwood is blooming, you need to get an identical photo but with one of your gorgeous warblers in there! No pressure! (-:

Very cute! Sigh....I wish my dogwood still had buds. My new small ones are growing so slowly.
That is a cutey pie. I like seeing the birds when they are all fluffed out like that trying to keep warm. Great capture!

Thanks everyone! And welcome Silver!
