Late Summer

This summer has just flown by! It's been hot and dry, very much like last summer.
One thing I can always depend on is my little buddy showing up at the window looking for something to eat and a little "Howdy!"

I really haven't seen a lot of butterflies this summer, but I've been pretty busy. The Gulf Fritillaries are showing up now,

as well as the Great Spangled Frits.

There's a hint of change comin!

And the ever beautiful Hydrangea are just doin their thing!
Hope your summer has been a good one!

Beautiful images, Eve. I really like the butterflies and the leaves with the sun shining through.
Yes, summer has flown, I can't believe it! Fall is my favorite time of year, but I'm not quite ready for it yet!

Great photos. Love your little liz friend. Summer has gone by too fast, even though it has been hot and buggy.

Good Morning Eve! It has been a good summer, but hot, no rain till lately and humidity! I like your buddy! Maybe he would like our frog for a bud!

I'm glad you're having a good summer.
We have had a mild summer but very dry. We had a grass fire. We almost lost the house. A frightening thing.
It was started by someone.
I will be glad when summer is over.
I want to move to the ocean...

Don't you just love those little anole lizards! My husband goes out every day on lizard patrol to see how many he can find :-) So cute and beneficial (when they are eating bad bugs and not butterfly caterpillars, that is)

I love the little lizard! We have one who lives by the patio, and I enjoy watching him. Your butterfly photos are beautiful. I haven't seen many butterflies this year either, a big disappoinment because I made an effort to plant some of their favorite flowers this year.

Beautiful photos Eve...what does a little lizard enjoy for lunch? I would love to see a photo of the new shed and maybe Daisy Lu and Ollie and Morgan too! The trees have begun to turn here....I am so ready for Fall!

Beautiful captures Eve! It is good to see the butterflies. They seemed a long time coming this year. It has been so hot and dry. The rain looks so refreshing. We only got about an 1" from Lee but we will take what we can get!
