Rose Campion

The Rose Campion is in bloom here on the mountain. I just love this plant. It comes up everywhere......and brightens every corner of the yard. They look good in front of plants......or around plants.Ok, I just had to throw this Red Hot Poker in here for fun!Rose Campion are easy to grow from seed and if you have a place for them to roam, let them!

I didn't know that's what it was called. The flowers have a spicy smell, right? You have such wonderful gardens Eve!

Hello Eve!
It brigthens up the day this beautiful pink flower. It reminds about a species of the same family we call Sticky Catchfly.(Lychnis viscaria) They are wonderful in the landscape where they seen from a distance look like a pink carpet in the field.
Cheers

Pretty little plant. The bright flowers are nice highlights in any setting. Does this grow wild in your area? Lovely photos!

Beautiful! I love this flower but it doesn't bloom here until end of June. I dug some up not knowing what they were years ago in Ohio and now I have them coming up everywhere. I love that bright splash of color and lighter green foliage...

Does it have a pleasant aroma? The bladder campion that grows in my area isn't nearly as visually pleasing, but the smell is heavenly.

LOVE that action header Evie! That rose campion looks very much like our red (actually pink) campion which is wild here! Beautiful!

Now, why is my "following" doodad not telling me when you have a new post, Evie? This afternoon I decided to scroll down to show Bob your "hog" and discovered all manner of posts that didn't show up!!! WTF? I don't get it!!!

THAT SAID, I LOVE this post ESPECIALLY since I saw this in person today and totally loved the rose campion in your yard. Frankly, I think they ROCK your yard with a blaze of color! Okay, off to see what else I missed, chicka.
