Around the Yard Part 1

Things are happening really fast around here. There are so many things in bloom and none of which was blooming when I got here last year so these are mostly all new for me.
Buckeye in the woods.Apple trees everywhere. My funny fig.A little Speedwell I think. The Columbines are just starting to bloom.Color everywhere you look.I believe this is a double Cherry Tree. It is FANTASTIC!!!The Crape Myrtle just starting to break out in leaf.Eastern Tiger Swallowtails are out in numbers.A Falcate Orangetip...that will not hold still for me!The Redbuds are STUNNING!My favorite Dogwood is just shinning in the yard.Oh yes and my Black Beauty is all dressed in her new short shot pipes. What a beauty!!!Oh I've got tons more!!!
Every time I go outside I think I must be in heaven!

High on a mountain top, tucked in the corner of the woods, heaven is abound with color and fragrance. Simply lovely Eve. Do those short pipes make that famous Harley sound? Do you own that spiked helmet yet?

Hi Roy, I think that black thing may be my very favorite flower in the yard!

Thanks Julie! How true! And yes they do make that famous Harley sound and no spikes yet!! Ear plugs maybe.

Yo motorcycle mama, you better be careful out there on the roads!

Didn't you just have snow? I'm loving your flowers! We had such warm temps this past week but now we're back down into the chilly 50's. No butterflies here!

Hi Sharon! I will! We had snow on March 22. It's been a wierd winter for sure. I'm loving spring and now its back to more normal weather. I'm more worried about tornados than anything.

Gorgeous! Keep the photos coming! Your new home has so many pretty blooming things around it. That cherry is the same one that I have....aren't they wonderful? Wait until it sends down "pink snow" all over the yard :-) I used to know the name of it...starts with a K I think. Lovely butterflies already! I must start looking for some.

Looked the tree up....Kanzan cherry or Kwanzan. Found it spelled two ways.

Lovely photos all! Nice job on capturing the butterflies, even if one of them didn't want to cooperate. The black beauty is the most stunning of them all! :)

It must be tough though...go take picture or go for a ride!

Sunny Side Up Eve everything looks so pretty there and you have taken the time to get some great pictures. I need to do that, if we would/could just stay home :) I am going to grab the picture taker and do that today! Short shot pipes, what else is in the works for The Black Beauty?!!

That Dogwood by the wrap-around PORCH, oh how I love a porch, is spectacular!
