Wow this is taking FOREVER!! HELLO!!!!!!

Well Hello everyone! I've missed you all so much! Finally we got the DSL issue resolved and should be back to on-line fun.
We just got our big moving truck yesterday and it will be a couple days before we get our help to unload it so that will be a big job and there is a lot to do.
I'm loving my new home...well...not so much the scorpions we've had to deal with but that's life on a mountain. The bug man was here yesterday and hopefully that will be all a memory...famous last words for sure!
The birds are amazing. The trees are fantastic! The gardens superb!
I'm still very busy getting things together here so will be slow in posting but I'm hoping I'll have some fun things to share as they come about.
Bear with me and I hope to be able to catch up on my buddy blogs quickly.
It's so great to be back!

Apartment Life

Well we're in this apartment for the next few days until we close on our house. It's amazing because we are in the heart of the city...I guess...there is a train that runs behind the complex, helicopters going over head all day and all the sounds of city life around us. But the nature is still amazing. There are beautiful trees with new fresh leaves all around us... ...and a view of a space ship from the back yard! I so wanted to get both flags open in the shot but it was not to be done. Close but no cigar! These beautiful oaks just bring a smile to my face!I sure wish I knew the name of this tree. Some kind of Fir? This culvert is just full of life and last night it was flowing after the tornado sirens ceased blowing!
Tomorrow is a new adventure and I get to go see the house for the first time!

Road Trip...Life Move...

We loaded up the truck.Said our good-byes to the guineas. Grabbed the beasts. Enjoyed the views. That's my husband in our trailer ahead of me. It was fun for me to draft, and I saved a bunch of gas...but it didn't help him any so I backed off a bit!!Stayed a night...listened to Mockingbirds...laughed a bunch. Watched the temperature soar!!!!! (it's under my gas gauge).
DON'T LOOK AT THE DUST AND DOG HAIR!!!!! Got to Huntsville as saw a Saturn V Rocket!
We're still busy getting settled in. Tuesday we go see the house and hopefully will close on Friday.

Unbelieveable

Last nights sunset. I have lived on this property for just over 20 years.
Most of my Blogger friends know that I have been blessed with some of the most beautiful sunrises and sets, but you can only imagine just how many and just how beautiful they have been.
I've lived here with this full blown sky, in this treeless yard, and have been able to witness so many wonders, from a spectacular Aurora Borealis that took up a 270 degree chunk of my sky and made it an undulating show of color and forms, to an A-10 "Warthog" flying slow and low in a display of strength and pride. I am not sad that I am leaving this beautiful place. I'm feeling blessed that I have been able to enjoy a piece of heaven for a good part of my life.
Now I'm ready to find a new place to explore. To find the joys that this new home will bestow upon me.
Two more days of packing ahead. We've had a little glitch with the new home in Alabama but with a bit of luck and a few prayers we will be moving in by the end of next week.

Before The Rain

Yesterday's morning sky just before the Bluebirds showed up to check out boxes. If you remember last year I lost my female and 5 babies perished. This is the box they chose last year. I wonder if that is the same male?
That was the first year I ever had bluebirds nest here.
I'm hoping things go better this year.
I'll be sure to let our new homeowners know if the birds decide to stick around.
