My 2008 Headers

I'm dedicating this post to Roy http://fenlandwalker.blogspot.com/. He has been a good blogging friend since shortly after I started blogging in March of this year. Without his inspiration I may never have begun to explore the world of Header Magic. I am going backward in time here to my very first header, a beautiful work of art that I created from a not so great photo of my garden. While searching the world of bloggers I found The Fenland Walker because of his beautiful Poppy Header that wasn't a photo, but an actual work of art that he painted from a photo he'd taken in a field where he'd walked. I commented that his Header looked so much like mine, but in a different sort of way. Thank you Roy for being such a good friend and wonderful inspiration. All my guinea friends minus one...(she didn't fly up), maybe this is her below...Oh that's a he!!! a beautiful sulphur butterfly.Everyone thought this would make a beautiful card! Oh my bluebird came back in the fall to think about nesting this spring.
My beautiful view. The hay bales of summer. My favorite Clay-colored Sparrow...Buzz buzz buzz! The Helenium in my new garden! A Northern Harrier in a beautiful sky. A sand dollar from my Maine vacation. Young guinea friends. And the original Sunny Side Up. All great fun, and wonderful memories to share!
Happy New Year to all my great friends! You all make me smile each and every day!
Whoops forgot this one!Aw the memories of Fall!!
And I forgot this one TOO!!!Maybe I need new glasses...or maybe I just need to eat more fruit!!

I like the one Guinea by herself,
4th down, and the hay bales in the fog. Guess it is hard to decide when you have options. I have never figured out how to get a photograph in my top part.

Oh, I love them all. Your pictures are like a deep breath and a cool glass of water.
Of course, I'm partial to the big-personality guinea photos, but all your pictures are wonderful.
Happy New Year, Eve... (and thanks for your sweet email this morn) :-)
Hugs from your friend in Oregon

Happy New Year, Eve. I wish you the best in the New Year and hope your home sells and closes real soon. I hope you can have a flock of guineas when you get settled. (Just think, no more 7F days for you!)

Your Guinea friends are a wonder! Recently I've watched the whole set of your posts about guineas with my husband from the very first one. We were both amazed. So many of them and.. ooh they're too cute!

You have a great eye for header-worthy pieces! All of them are gorgeous! The haybales were a fav. but then the sanddollar, and of course the close up guinea. Seriously, you need to cycle them thru again so we can get another look.
Happy New Year!

Hi Alexandra! Nice to see you again! I'm so glad you liked the guinea posts. They are such a sweet bunch. They can cheer you up in an instant! Happy New Year and congratulations on your marriage!

Hi Hannibal, thanks so much, it will be fun to recycle and hopefully I'll get out and take some more worthy pictures, it's been a bit miserable out here lately!

Hi Eve,

Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope to see you again.

I looked at your dove picture from last April. That sure is a pale one. I have them that color all summer. This is the first year I have had the darker/brownish ones but will have to wait for summer to see what happens. Isn't nature fun.
